When I heard that infamous Abercrombie & Fitch had undergone a serious rebranding, I had to see it for myself. Abercrombie was cool in elementary and middle school (Hello LFO!,) but it lost its luster once it became the overpriced graphic tee, overly pungent perfume scented distressed denim hub. In an attempt to refresh the brand they hired an exec from J. Crew, a designer from Club Monaco, and deleted their entire Instagram in an attempt to “wipe the slate clean.”
Sales are still down according to WWD and the WSJ, but at least A&F has attempted to make the brand more inclusive on multiple levels–something we need to see more of as of late.
I picked out a few pieces that I think will transition well from summer to spring, and I actually purchased a few that I thought would pack well for my upcoming trips to Panama City and Bocas del Toro.
What do you think of the rebranding efforts?

Garland sent me a box of really fun things for my birthday last week. I am a huge fan of all things bath, scrub, and relaxation related. I had never heard of some of these brands before and thought I would share the wealth by telling you what I thought!
Bath Bomb by Musee
I actually bought a few of these for myself when I was in Laguna Beach for my birthday. My boyfriend and I happened upon the store Bubbles at Laguna while walking down the street and I had to go inside. I usually make my own bath bombs, but love trying out store bought versions. The one I used the other night was called “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” by Musee. It smelled sort of like laundry detergent and turned the water a cerulean blue. It also left a cute plastic crescent moon floating the tub when the bomb had fizzled out. I think these bombs are super cute for gifts or to just treat yourself.
Frank Body Coconut Coffee Scrub
This scrub smelled so good and left my skin feeling soft. Make sure you have a telephone shower head in your shower so you can rinse all the grounds down the drain. They get everywhere!
Kocostar Hair Therapy
This mask left my hair feeling so soft! I have very dry hair, so I could use a mask like this once or twice a week. The cap was a little difficult to keep on in the shower (I have never used a hair mask with a cap before,) but once I figured it out and got the tape to adhere tightly enough, it was smooth sailing.
Formulary 55 Face Mask
This Face Mask was also a bit messy, but it was pink and smelled nice and left my skin feeling refreshed. I was worried that it might dry my skin out, but I didn’t have any problems and having pink clay on my face made for some fun snapchats!
White Amber Candle from World Market
World Market is now my go to for affordable and amazing candles. I am officially hooked. I love the Diptyque and Nest, but at over $40-60 a candle, I can’t always justify the purchase. World market saves the day with aesthetic and fragrant candles that look just a nice but for a fraction of the price. These are a find!
New York’s Quality Italian has made it’s way to Cherry Creek in Denver–inside the Halcyon Hotel on Columbine Street. We went to the hard opening last night and the interiors are just as delicious as the food. Take a look at the photos for yourself! It was designed by AvroKo, the internationally based design firm best known in Denver for Union Station.
According to Denver Eater, “chef partners Scott Tacinelli and Angie Rito designed a menu that uses seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, which, in Denver, will be executed by chef Franz Hueber, most recently executive chef of Boulder’s Salt Bistro.”
Our experience was first rate. I started with the tricolore margarita, which featured a large ice cube with triple sec, orange/pineapple juice, and jalapeño puree, striped like the Mexican Flag– a drink after my own heart.
We opted to eat family style and ordered the Elevation Tellicherry Salami charcuterie platter, tuna crudo and Beefsteak Tomato and Stracciatella salad to start. The wine list is also to be noted, we shared a bottle of a light yet full paleted, italian borolo in addition to our pre-dinner cocktails. We shared the “Old School” Chicken Parmesan which is served like a pizza with a chili honey sauce. This was my favorite dish and the most decadent. We also shared the Spicy Lobster Rigatoni alla Vodka, which was flambe’d table side. For veggies, we opted for the grilled garlic mushrooms and brussel sprouts on the side. To end on a sweet note, despite being overly stuffed, we opted for the adorable cannoli cart, which prepared coffee-chocolate, birthday cake and strawberry cannoli tableside. We ordered the coffee-chocolate and birthday cake, which were prepared and then presented to us in little tissue-paper filled boxes–a final parting gift.
The experience and the food were fun, lively and delectable. This is a great place for large group dinners, when you can share, celebrate and enjoy the cozy warmth and exquisite aesthetic of your surroundings, as well as a great meal, with treasured friends. Our experience was a treat for all of the senses.

I just cannot get enough of these fun shoes! They remind me of growing up in the 90’s and when my friend, Kelly, with the most fashionable and up to trend mom, started wearing red clogs to 2nd grade. I thought they were so strange looking, but still so fun and made quite the statement.
Clogs are another story, but I think Mules and Slides are the perfect shoe for transitioning to spring. With pearls, florals, tassels, bows and appliqué to choose from, there is a mule or slide out there for everyone. Here are a few I found online, from different retailers and at different price points, that I absolutely love! Which one is your favorite?

This is a PSA. I have found a healthy ice cream that comes with completely guilt free snacking! I picked up a few pints of HaloTop ice cream at Whole Foods last night and they are so good! I have so far tried the Strawberry, Chocolate, Birthday Cake and Chocolate Mint Flavors. Birthday Cake is my favorite so far, followed by Strawberry. Go to your local Whole Foods and check it out. They sell out quick, so make sure to look thoroughly in the frozen food aisle! Or use the HaloTop Flavor locater on their website! Click HERE to learn more about their other flavors!
Happy and healthy snacking!
